The story of St. Petersburg intellectuals who, on the eve of the October Revolution, went to their dachas in Kellomyaki - present-day Komarovo - and were cut off from Russia by an unexpectedly appeared border. All that remains for them is to preserve in their small colony a reserve of Russian life, washed into oblivion by the Bolshevik flood. Villa Reno, where the “eternal summer residents” live, is a Russian Noah’s Ark, floating outside of time and space, from one era to another. Published in 2003 in Neva magazine, the novel Villa Reno became a finalist for the Russian Booker Prize.
