Historical work “Kitab al-kamil fi-t-ta’rikh” (Complete history) by the famous Arab historian of the 13th century. ‘Izz al-Din Ibn al-Athir is dedicated to the history of the Muslim world and covers the period from pre-Islamic times to the era of the Mongol conquests. From a scientific point of view, the part of it that includes a description of events covering the period from the 9th century is of greatest interest. until the middle of the 13th century, which contains valuable information on the history of the Central Asian dynasties of the Samanids, Karakhanids, Seljuks, Ghaznavids, Ghurids, Khorezmshahs and Hulaguids. This work is a translation from Arabic of only those parts that relate to the history of Central Asia during the period the end of the era of Arab conquests (8th century) until the Mongol conquest inclusive (13th century). The work is of interest to scientific researchers - historians, geographers, ethnographers, as well as to anyone interested in the medieval history of Central Asia.
