A gripping story in which the main character, teenage girl London Lane, loses her memory every time she falls asleep. The past remains a mystery to her, but she “remembers” the future. With the help of her mother, reminders on her cell phone, and notes she leaves for herself, London manages to lead a more or less normal life. There are no apparent medical reasons for all these oddities, which means there is no treatment. She meets a guy named Luke at school, falls in love and realizes that she doesn't see him in her "memories of the future." Does this mean their relationship has no future? London also feels when someone close to her is about to die, and this “dark memory” as a result should help her unravel the past.
