The novel by Israeli writer Naomi Frenkel, translated into Russian for the first time, reveals to the reader a truly “terra incognita” - the life of a kibbutz lost in the mountains from the 20s to the end of the 60s of the 20th century. “And everywhere there are fatal passions, and there is no protection from fate...” - you involuntarily remember these Pushkin words when reading a novel whose heroes turn barren mountains into flowering fields, fight, argue.
