The book is an almost complete collection of poems by the remarkable Russian poet Vera Aleksandrovna Merkuryeva (1876-1943), who during her lifetime practically dropped out of the official literary process. The poetess was returned to readership only in the late 1980s - early 1990s. through the efforts of the greatest philologist of our time, academician M.L. Gasparov, who put her name immediately after the name of M. Tsvetaeva. Unfortunately, M.L. Gasparov did not have time to prepare a separate edition of V. Merkuryeva’s poems. This book, dedicated to his memory, is the completion of his unfinished work. The Appendix contains articles by M.L. Gasparov, containing biographical data, a review of creativity and an analysis of one of the poetic cycles of V. Merkuryeva. The book presents published and unpublished materials for the first time and in a similar volume , related to the life and work of one of the most prominent poets of the circle, Vyach. Ivanova.
