Yuri Nagibin is a famous Russian writer. He considered it his duty to preserve the significance of what the world had accumulated over the millennia of its existence: the architecture of beautiful cities, artistic treasures, museums, and ancient monuments. An expert on the work of composers, musicians, and artists, he left fictionalized stories of their lives. Their destinies are densely filled with misfortunes, tragedies, mistakes and delusions. A large person, according to Nagibin, is extremely limited, self-centered, helpless, but lives deeply, acutely feels all the tragedy and “terry vulgarity” of everyday life... J. Tintoretto, M. Chagall, P. Tchaikovsky, I. Kalman, S. Rachmaninov. Yu. Nagibin wrote scripts for documentaries and feature films about their destinies. They were ordered by Soviet and American film companies. “...Since Nagibin knows how to portray talent, let him work,” they explained.
