In addition to the main Corpus of the Diary, this edition includes memories of Galich and an essay about Mandelstam, inextricably linked with the Diary, and also provides an index of names, which helps to more clearly imagine Nagibin’s circle of acquaintances and interests. To see the diary published during his lifetime, Yuri Markovich provided it with an author's preface explaining this bold intention. This publication contains Yuri Kuvaldin’s essay “Nagibin”, which also provides some information about the birth of the “Diary” and about Yu. M. Nagibin himself. A few days after Nagibin handed over the manuscript to the publishing house, he passed away. Death fatally intervened in the writer’s fate, as if coldly saying that the diary during life should be kept in the table. Before us is a peculiar autobiography of Yuri Markovich Nagibin (1920-1994), which is deeply confessional in nature.

Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, і в деяких місцях можуть бути неточності, загалом переклад виявився досить якісним. Книга залишає глибокий слід у душі, спонукаючи до роздумів про життя, творчість і спадщину, яку залишають за собою великі митці.
