In a closed totalitarian state, in which there is no place for sick and physically disabled people, a special inspection recognizes the deaf boy Hannes as unfit for society. Tell, Hannes's father, is faced with a choice - he must abandon his son or get rid of him on his own. Tell wants to save Hannes, although he understands that this is impossible. Once he and his wife Fina already tried to save their other son, but to no avail. And now the parents are ready to do anything to protect Hannes. And as time goes on, the inspection demands the fulfillment of its orders more and more insistently, and Tell has to make a decision. What will he and Fina do in a completely hopeless situation? Will they be able to save their last son? Editor's comment: A drama about the illusion of an alternative and the taste of freedom that a person gains by refusing to choose between what circumstances offer him.
