In the same 60s, Nikita Khrushchev swore that “the current generation of Soviet people will live under communism.” More than 30 years have passed: The deceived generation was never destined to taste the fruits of the promised communist paradise, but they were able to see how over these years humanity has crossed the figure of 6(!) billion. Having doubled in size, it created an unimaginable crowding on the globe. At the same time, part of him was forced to return to “stick and bananas.” It is significant that the ranks of the “returnees” were replenished mainly by the generation of now former Soviet people. That is, you and me: Why did the instantaneous growth of humanity on the scale of World History turn into the greatest tragedy precisely for the peoples inhabiting one sixth of our planet?
