For the first time, the collection presents with maximum completeness the lyrics of the remarkable St. Petersburg poet and prose writer Sergei Wolf, known to the general reader, alas, only as the author of several comic poems that became folklore, and a character in Dovlatov’s books (mentor of Dovlatov and many other Leningrad prose writers). S. Wolf's first collection of poetry, Little Gods, published in 1993, soon became a bibliographic rarity. This edition (which includes, in particular, all the poems in this book) presents a complete corpus of “serious” poems by the master who has left us, which rightfully made him one of the best poets of the late 20th century.
