1355 An Egyptian incense merchant disappears without a trace during a trip to the Golden Horde. His brother goes in search. Following the trail, he goes further and further into the expanses of the Great Steppe until he finds himself in the city of Mokhshi, lost in the dense forests at the very outskirts of the mysterious Land of Darkness. He and his new friends will have to unravel the tangle of an ancient mystery tied around the tomb of the once powerful Queen Bayalun, wife of Khan Uzbek. The revived fairy tale turns out to be mortally dangerous.
