The two-volume “Tunguska Secrets” brings together early science fiction works dedicated to the mystery of the Tunguska meteorite. The second volume of the publication includes M. Semenov’s fantastic story “Prisoners of the Earth” (1937), where the author, for the first time in Soviet science fiction, described the Tunguska meteorite as a ship of aliens. The publication also includes A. Kazantsev’s classic story “The Explosion” (1946), which marked the beginning of the “Tunguska boom” of fantastic stories, novellas and novels, and B. Lyapunov’s polemicizing story “From the Depths of the Universe” (1950).
