Provincial actress Julie Diguet is hired by one of the capital's most popular theaters, the Theater of the Seven Muses, and the girl is immersed in the bohemian world of Paris in the 1920s. Very soon Julie realizes that the walls of the theater keep frightening secrets. It seems that the owner of the theater is the devil himself, who has incredible power over human destinies: he bestows success and fame on his favorites, but he will have to pay dearly for it, with his soul and, possibly, his life. After all, as soon as one of the actors tries to leave the theater or go against the will of the owner, he dies.
