Nina Voronel, a famous writer, who has almost two dozen published books, including “The Past and Ladies,” published by the Folio publishing house, continues to introduce readers to the bright personalities of the past. Her documentary novel is dedicated to Sabina Spielrein, a woman with an amazing and tragic fate. At the age of 19, she became Jung's patient, then his assistant, lover and one of the first female psychoanalysts. A strange “triangle” united Sabina with Jung and Freud. History has pushed her into the shadows, making her works only an illustration of their labors. She was a resident of Rostov and died in Rostov: in 1942, along with other Jews, she was shot by the Nazis in Zmievskaya Balka. Her story is full of mysteries, and Nina Voronel, reconstructing the events of her life, carefully recreates, partly speculating, her sad existence and tragic death.
