The long and difficult journey is behind us. The dragons and their guardians found the legendary Kelsingra, a city where Elder Elderlings, humans and dragons once lived side by side. The wonders and treasures of Kelsingra await on the other side of a wide and turbulent river, which is not so easy to cross. Only a dragon can cross this chasm, but most dragons cannot fly. Captain Leftrin goes downstream to, as agreed, demand payment for the fact that he and the guardians took the dragons away from Kassarick. But the captain knows: there are traitors in the Merchant Council who were flattered by Chalceda’s money. Enemies want to obtain the blood and flesh of dragons to heal the Duke of Chalcede, and they will stop at nothing.
