A couple of years ago, New York lawyer Vincent Calvino was forced to leave his homeland. Traveling around the world, he finally settled in Bangkok and decided to engage in private investigation. But it is not so easy for a farang - that is, a foreigner - to open his own business in the capital of Thailand. Outsiders, especially white ones, are not trusted here and are considered simpletons. However, the first case found Vincent on its own. The parents of an English journalist who was recently shot in the back of the head in Bangkok approached him. They did not believe the Thai police, who immediately arrested some drug addict boy, and asked Calvino to find the real killer at all costs. The detective was on the trail.
