Chronicles of Love is the second and most famous novel by Nicole Krauss to date. The book was translated into more than thirty-five languages and became an international bestseller. Leo Gursky lives out his days in America. He is sick and old, but he remembers every moment from the past, as if it all happened to him just yesterday: sixty years ago in Poland, in the town where he was born, Leo wrote a book and dedicated it to the girl with whom he was in love. They were separated by the war, and all these years Leo believed that his manuscript - “Chronicles of Love” - was irretrievably lost, until one day he received it in the mail. Meanwhile, fourteen-year-old Alma, named after the heroine of Chronicles, goes in search of the author of the mysterious book that once changed her mother's life. The paths of the main characters inevitably cross in this exciting story about love and loneliness. The film of the same name based on the book is being directed by the famous Mexican film director Alfonso Cuaron.
