Many have written about Mayakovsky. Lenin called his poem “150,000,000” “pretentious and shabby.” Trotsky believed that "Mayakovsky's satire is cursory and superficial." Stalin stated that he considered him “the best and most talented poet of our Soviet era.” Mayakovsky himself, addressing us (that is, “comrade descendants”), jokingly said that “once upon a time there lived such a singer of boiled water and an ardent enemy of raw water.” And he added seriously: “I will tell you about time and myself.” Please note that the story about time is given first place. Because the time in which the poet worked created human destinies. Mayakovsky didn’t tell us anything. Did not have time. His contemporaries did this for him. In the documentary cycle “The Main Secret of the Badass Leader,” an attempt was made to look at the “poet of the revolution” with a look that is not clouded by biases, traditions and statements of the leaders.
