An eleven-year-old hooligan boy considers a day lost if he doesn’t do something dirty to someone. One night the good fairy appears to him in an attempt to correct this brat. The boy Dimka, a tireless dreamer, constantly gets into various troubles. Little Goshka talks about his kindergarten problems, his monster nanny, the real Santa Claus who fell from the Christmas tree and his upcoming flight to the moon. The grown-up Goshka goes to school, there are also many funny moments there. In the story “Illiterate,” Dimka, then a kindergartener, read a word scrawled in the entrance and did not understand anything. Like all inquisitive children, he went to the people to ask what this word meant. In general, there are a lot of funny things in the book, and adventures too.
