Ivan Ilyin is one of the most insightful Russian thinkers. He left Russia on the “philosophical ship” in 1922, when the Soviet government expelled the entire flower of the Russian intelligentsia from the country, and “returned” in 2005: his ashes were delivered from Switzerland to Moscow and reburied in the Donskoy Monastery cemetery. Thoughts philosophers, sincere and piercingly wise, delicately instruct the reader, teach him the art of life. The lessons of Ivan Ilyin are valuable recipes for the true manifestation of Christianity. Freedom, a loving heart and the ability to “empathize” - these, according to the writer, are the main components of human happiness. This collection consists of three essays, united by a common internal plan: “I look into life. Book of Thoughts”, “Singing Heart. The Book of Quiet Contemplations" and "The Path to Evidence."
