Habent sua fata libelli. Books have their own destiny. A reader who was interested in Vera Markova’s poetry contacted the publishing house and turned the poet’s home archive into the original manuscript. A deep interest in Vera Markova’s poems was aroused by Alla Demidova’s reading of her translations from Japanese, heard on the radio.
