For a long time, biblical scholars tried to find the altar of the legendary Joshua, but the search was in vain. Israeli archaeologist Adam Zertal, a man far from religion, who was conducting planned excavations on the slopes of Mount Ebal in Samaria, unexpectedly discovered a huge pile of white stones. After the pile was removed, the researchers saw an unusual structure, which forced even academic scientists to take a completely different look at the history of the biblical people.
