David Hare's play "The Blue Room" - a paraphrase of the play by the Austrian playwright Arthur Schnitzler "A Love Dance" was written at the beginning of the 20th century. This play was first seen in London in 1998 at the Donmar Warehouse Theatre. Despite the lightness of the plot and the comical nature of some scenes, it exposes the well-known problem of alienation today. The Blue Room is a play about lonely men and women in a big city. About those who, in search of deep feelings, become fed up with easy prey and lose the taste for real life. Thus, in quick and chance meetings, characters representing different social strata, finding physical intimacy, are left in emptiness. Speaking words of love, they only replace its essence with them and continue their frantic pursuit, without peering at those who are nearby.
