With others, with the World, with ourselves, with the one we call God, with our own fullness and emptiness. This book is about the eternal paradox, the conflict of our nature. We seek intimacy but want to protect our separateness. We often confuse collaboration and dependence. We want to be bright and different from others, but we are so afraid of our otherness. I write about choosing life despite its frightening unpredictability. I write about myself, about what, in one way or another, left a mark on my experience. Readers often say, “Oh!
