Many consider the Ainu to be the most mysterious people on our planet. Their way of life, based on fishing with almost undeveloped agriculture, unique rituals, and rich folklore attract attention. Their unusual physical appearance sets them apart from other peoples of East Asia. One of the authors of the book had the opportunity to conduct field work in Ainu villages for some time - the unique materials he collected make up a significant part of the book.
