From time immemorial, having tried out the methods of achieving success, people shared them with each other, creating entire systems that make it possible to turn almost any, even the most “neglected” life, into a masterpiece of abundance of all benefits and harmony between them. To such meetings “ writings of one’s own destiny” refers to the ancient Indian Pentateuch, which in Sanskrit is called “Panchatantra”. In Indian culture, it belongs to the field of niti-shastra - the “science of right behavior”, which was taught to heirs in noble families. However, the problems raised in the Panchatantra and its medieval continuation, the Hitopadesa, are inherent in any society at any time: finding a job, increasing wealth, making friends, getting married, building relationships. The instructions of the Panchatantra and Hitopadesha are given in a metaphorical form - in the form of edifying stories. Traditional education is the main goal of these books: they have a special meaning, and it is carried out using a special method. Maria Nikolaeva is a specialist in Western and Eastern philosophy and personal psychology (has three diplomas), a full member of the scientific Association of Researchers of Esotericism and Mysticism. Author of 33 scientific and popular books on Eastern cultures. In parallel with her professional philosophical activities as a writer and teacher, she devoted a quarter of a century to the synthesis of spiritual practices in different traditions. Having studied with more than fifty traditional masters of Asia, she created her own methodology “Strategy of Identity.” The books “Panchatantra: Indian Strategy for Success” and “Hitopadesha: Paradoxes of Reciprocity” in the author’s series by Maria Nikolaeva in the publishing group “Tradition” essentially continue those accepted in India traditions of commenting on classical treatises.
