GOD gave one person, then the proclamation, and then the people. This sequence is both historical and theological. God first gave one person, Jesus Christ. He gave a person, and not a creed, as the object of our faith and as the basis of our salvation. Proclamation is based on personality.

This personality is the content of the sermon. The early church proclaimed “this Jesus,” declaring what God had done through Him. The Preached Word soon became written down and compiled into a book we call the “New Testament” and was added to the “Old Testament” to form the Christian Bible. The Bible is a written form of proclamation of what God has done. God gave the Bible, not a catechism. Proclamation calls for response.

The proclaimed Word calls and gathers the people to the proclamation of the person the Church comes from the Word of the gospel. Christ, Who is the Word. God gave the Word before He gave it to the church. This book is a study of the people, the church. Therefore, it is dedicated to the derivative, which is the third thing the reader should remember to approach from such a perspective, which is what the author tried to do. in this book. I strive to teach every aspect of the doctrine of Christ's church. While we emphasize the church for the purpose of our study, we must also remember that it is not the purpose of the proclamation, but the result of it.

The oral message of Jesus Christ gathered the people, and thus created a church. This message was written down for the use of this people and to assist them in their proclamation. After all, the church needed to distinguish authoritative documents from other scriptures, so it recognized the “canon” of Scripture. In a historical sense, we can say that “the church gave us the Bible.” But there was no individual or group of people who became the means for the formation of Scripture. The church collected and preserved the Bible. By doing this, she recognized for herself the authority of these scriptures, and also recognized in them the source of her life. Although the church historically appeared before the Bible, in the form of a collection of books, the Word itself contained in the Bible, from a theological point of view, appeared before the church. The recognition of the canon of Scripture was the recognition by the church that it does not establish its own authority, but rather submits to the authority of the apostolic preaching, which is recorded in the apostolic Scriptures.
