Ibsen's dramaturgy is included in the golden fund of the classical repertoire of theaters all over the world. The art of the great Norwegian playwright is the art of fearless truth, the art of deep penetration into reality. Imbued with militant humanism and hatred of all falsehood and hypocrisy, Ibsen’s incorruptible and passionate work has become an integral part of the great heritage of progressive literature of the world.

This publication is dedicated to the centenary of the death of Henrik Ibsen, celebrated in May 2006. The book includes: the world-historical drama "Caesar and the Galilean" parts one and two; drama in four acts "Rosmerholm". The book also includes works from the author’s literary heritage: “Dream”, “Doubt and Hope”, “Miner”, “Photophobia” and “To My Friend, the Revolutionary Orator”; preparatory materials for the dramatic duology "Caesar and the Galilean" and for the drama "Rosmerholm"; critical studies of Ibsen's dramaturgy by A. Garborg, G. Brandes and N. Berdyaev. The book ends with appendices: an article by A.A. Yuryev “Between Light and Darkness” (Mystery tradition in the works of Henrik Ibsen), notes compiled by A.A. Yuryev and a brief chronology of the life and work of Henrik Ibsen. CONTENTS: Caesar and the Galilean. World historical drama (translation by F.X. Zolotarevskaya, edited by I.P. Kupriyanova and A.A.
