Professor Fyodor Nikolaevich Smirnov, an employee of the Brain Institute, has developed a sensor chip that reads a person’s thoughts. He hoped in the future to plant sensors on criminals and use them to find and neutralize them. The sensors had to be tested on people. Urged on by the director, Professor Smirnov, who longed for their institute to be the first in these developments, decides to secretly plant sensors in the monks of one monastery with a criminal past.
