The collection “Tiger's Eye” is twelve “historical dramas” written by modern writers about the past of Japan, about eras that are gone forever, but still retain the charm of mystery. The reader will find here many stories about noble samurai, about their code of honor and military skills, about the secret techniques of Kendo fencing masters passed down from generation to generation. The esoteric technique of one of them served as the title of the title story of the collection. There are other stories in the book - for example, about a blind singer-storyteller singing ballads about the fall of the Taira house, or about a samurai philanthropist and his unfulfilled love, or about the head of an executed dignitary.
