XVI century, Pyrenees mountains. Amateur investigator Andre Ermite hurries to Zaragoza. The former adventurer is accompanied by a servant, sixteen-year-old giant Lu. On the road they are haunted by failures. Travelers find shelter in a Catholic monastery, lost among the mountains. Every stone here has its own story. In the old monastery, everything breathes peace: the nearest village is half a day’s journey, and the youngest monk is well over sixty... So why can’t the local abbot sleep at night?
