Epik, a young halfling, is ill-content with the unambitious lives of the other halflings in the Bog. He dreams of magic. He dreams of the kingdom not so far away.
When he does move to the city, Epik's life is turned upside down. He meets Gabby, a wizard kind enough to rent him a room, or rather, a closet, in the wizard's now-defunct magical supply store.
As a damage of mountain trolls threatens the kingdom, Epik sees the opportunity to do something, well, epic.
