Vladimir Bushin is a writer, a front-line soldier, a man of honor who has never betrayed his convictions. Since the autumn of 1942, Vladimir Sergeevich participated in the Great Patriotic War as part of the 50th Army, and went through the battle route from Kaluga to Koenigsberg. Then - Manchuria, the war with Japan. At the front he joined the party and published his poems in the army newspaper “Defeat of the Enemy.” After returning from the war, he graduated from the Literary Institute. Gorky, worked for the newspaper “Young Guard”, where he became widely known as a literary critic and master of feuilleton. The book includes unique, previously unpublished excerpts from the front-line diary of Vladimir Sergeevich, with his own comments on his thoughts more than half a century ago.
