It was necessary to become not just reasonable, but also humane! And without showing humanity to their own kind, our distant ancestors simply would not have survived. The first weak shoots of humanism sprouted precisely then - in the Stone Age. The hero of the story “The Fight for Fire” proves this by his actions. He gave fire to his fellow tribesmen. He did not allow his gift to be used for evil. He spared no fire for the neighboring tribe.
