Viktor Rozov is one of the greatest playwrights of the 20th century. With its appearance, a new theatrical era began, associated with the names of Anatoly Efros and Oleg Efremov, a new period of the Central Children's Theater and the emergence of Sovremennik. Rozov is the author of more than 20 plays, the main character of which is a young man placed in conditions of moral choice dictated by time. His plays were performed in almost all theaters in the country and today they are finding new life on many stages. Based on one of his first plays, “Forever Alive,” the script was written for the world-famous film by Mikhail Kalatozov, “The Cranes Are Flying,” which received the main prize at the Cannes International Film Festival in 1958. The book was released as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of playwright Viktor Sergeevich Rozov
