He was born when the First World War began. He experienced hunger, cold and fear brought by the revolution and the Civil War. During the Great Patriotic War, he, a young actor at the Theater of the Revolution, was seriously wounded and miraculously survived. He lost loved ones, had no roof over his head, experienced creative difficulties... And yet Viktor Sergeevich considers himself a very happy and lucky person. He is grateful to fate for the trials that befell him, and for the happiness of living, loving, raising children, doing what he loves, and for the many wonderful people he has met along the path of life... He looks at the world with wide open, clear eyes, full of expectation. He is interested in living. And he really wants us to understand that living is really interesting.
