The works of Tatyana Chekasina, from the smallest short story to large stories and novels, represent prose of great depth. Each work reflects the life, if not of an era, then of a huge layer of life in our country. Studies of man, his soul, are presented in the comprehensiveness that is inherent in great Russian literature. This is a serious reading, capable of turning the reader’s soul upside down, making it better and purer, and life happier and more joyful. In the book “Nobody’s” there are two short stories, which the author defines by the name of this genre - history, as if emphasizing that in this work it is necessary to something will happen that can be called history. When something alarmingly scandalous happens to a person, it is even customary to say that he is caught up in history. This is exactly what happens with the characters in the works presented here: “Draw” with the subtitle “The Story of First Love” and “Oktyabrina’s Granddaughter” with the subtitle “The Story of Your Dreams”. Both heroines find themselves in difficult circumstances with the threat of losing everything: from innocence to life itself. As always with the writer Tatyana Chekasina, a complex problem is presented simply, vividly and accessible to everyone who becomes a reader of this entertaining, dynamic prose.
