The book analyzes the processes that took place in central Italy at the beginning of the 1st millennium BC. e. and ultimately led to the founding of the city on the Tiber, the formation of its main socio-economic, political and sacral institutions in the royal and early republican periods is examined in detail, the first steps of Rome in the international arena are analyzed in detail - from clashes with the Latins and Etruscans who lived in the neighborhood to large-scale and victorious wars with the Greeks and Carthaginians.
