The idea of the St. Petersburg carnival found its embodiment, completely unexpectedly for me, as a masquerade ball in the form of a dramatic poem, which can easily be turned into a film script, with action all over the world in time and space, with a main character whose name is far from ambiguous perceived in the Christian world. Lucifer in the Russian philosophical tradition represents a historical process, ambiguous, temporary, from a Christian point of view, but this is human civilization in its development, with the highest achievements in the field of art and technology. Or everything is simpler. Saint Petersburg. The city's theaters host performances and concerts as part of the White Nights Festival, broadcast throughout the world. We will not look there, but will simply take part in walks around the city, so memorable for the beauty of its streets, bridges and canals and treasuries of world art. In essence, this is a continuous carnival procession through the streets of the city and its environs, like in Venice or Rome.
