The novel “The Ascension” is based on the legend of the Russian artist and traveler of the early 20th century, Aristea Navrotsky, in whose fate the Fairy from the Land of Light allegedly took part (this may be Shambhala), and he acquired the gift of creating life itself from light, to resurrect a person, and his companion on all sorts of journeys turns out to be a young poet who imagines himself as Eros (a demon, according to Plato’s definition), who in the Christian world is mistaken for Lucifer.
