Japanese management appeared relatively recently, but has developed rapidly over the past decades. The speed and efficiency of development of the Japanese management model initially attracted the interest of Western specialists, who are the forefathers of management. And indeed, Japanese organizations took as a basis the theoretical foundations of American and European management, and, having applied and transformed them in accordance with their mentality, achieved tremendous success in practice. Management also appeared in Russian practice relatively recently and, accordingly, its own leadership style applicable to Russian conditions and mentality has not yet been developed. The relevance of this book lies in the fact that the Japanese management style is by far the most effective, exemplified by the successful activities of Japanese companies. And not having its own management style, Russia really needs to study Japanese management and the management of other countries, choosing for itself the most acceptable principles of management and ultimately creating its own “Russian management.”
