Konstantam Dmitrievich Balmont (1867-1942) - Russian symbolist poet and translator, the most prominent representative of the Silver Age. It was with him that Russian symbolism began. Balmont’s poems are amazingly musical, it’s not for nothing that he was called “Paganini of Russian verse.” His poetry is permeated with romance, spirituality, and beauty. It is free from conventions, love and life are glorified even in such terrible years as 1905 or 1914. The collected works of Konstantin Dmitrievich is an exquisite collection of the most significant and most beautiful works of Russian poetry, which brought him Russian and world fame. The works included in the Collected Works give the most complete picture of all facets of the work of Balmont, the wizard of words. The first three volumes are unique - they reproduce without abbreviations the “Complete Collection of Poems of K. Balmont in 10 Volumes,” published in 1904-14. The fifth and sixth volumes included Balmont’s prose works, essays, notes, impressions and thoughts. The final volume of the Collected Works includes the best examples of his artistic - poetic and prose - periods. The third volume of the collection includes collections of poems “Green Vertograd”, “Birds in the Air”, “Round Dance of Times” and “White Architect*.
