The story “Love Canon” is a love story set against the backdrop of the 1980s-1990s. “Nothing was as dear to me as the feeling of that warmth in my chest, from which everything is born, and which cannot be expressed in words. But that’s exactly what I’m trying to do,” says the heroine of “Canon of Love.” This is exactly what Natalia Sokolovskaya did, and, it seems, successfully. Sokolovskaya shows dramatic collisions without pathos, and life appears before us as it is. That is, in the words of one of the heroines, Françoise Sagan, “calm and heartbreaking at the same time.” With “The Canon of Love,” Natalia Sokolovskaya became a laureate of the Prize. N.
