The relevance of the methodological manual is due to the complexity of the issue related to pedagogical diagnostics of the development of children of early and preschool age in the context of the implementation of the Federal State Educational Standard for Education. The authors offer their own version of pedagogical diagnostics based on systemic and activity-based approaches. The system for assessing the individual development of children was developed taking into account the content of educational areas, types of children's activities, children's development goals and in accordance with the targets of the Federal State Educational Standard for Education. Detailed diagnostic tools are presented, the procedure for conducting pedagogical diagnostics is described, diagnostic cards are proposed. The methodological manual was developed at the Department of Preschool and Primary General Education of the State Administrative Educational Institution of the Lipetsk Region “Institute for Educational Development” and is addressed to educators and heads of kindergartens, specialists (methodologists) of municipal education authorities, supervisors of preschool education, teachers and students of pedagogical universities of the Faculty of Preschool Education.
