The book “Burned by the Revolution” talks about the paradoxical destructive-creative essence of the Russian revolution, reflected in the destinies of historical characters. It is composed of comparative biographies of heroes of the revolutionary era - public figures, politicians, revolutionaries, terrorists, cultural figures, religious figures - for whom the revolution became the starting point and (or) the tragic crown of the biography. The revolution united their destinies in inextricable unity, in the contrasts of creativity and murder, destruction and creation. Following them, the reader passes through the circles of revolutionary hell to the light of the future.
