This book is devoted to an analysis of the reasons for the collapse of the liberal idea in Russia. It is based on the statements of opposition politicians and political scientists, including well-known figures - from Mikhail Kasyanov and Boris Nemtsov to Boris Berezovsky and Stanislav Belkovsky. The book was written in the spring of 2015 and posted on Amazon. Since then, little has changed in the opposition camp, but the story of Navalny’s poisoning and the court’s decision to replace his suspended sentence with a very real one forced the author to take up the pen again.
