Waclaw Michalski in “October” (No. 1, 2009) publishes the continuation of his lengthy saga - the novel “Forgiveness Resurrection” (the beginning of the story is in the novels “Spring in Carthage”, “Desert for Lonely Everywhere”, “It Takes Two for Joy” , "Temple of Concord"). Historical fiction about the life of Russian emigrants in Africa and their relatives in the USSR. The fates of two sisters separated in childhood. One of them, Maria, during the Second World War in Africa, among nomadic tribes. After the war she was already in France. The second sister, Alexandra, was a military paramedic in the USSR during the war. At the height of the war, she married a colleague, who soon went missing and was presumed dead. But already in peacetime, Alexandra found out that her husband survived and married again, after which he was arrested and sentenced to ten years without the right to correspondence. The sisters suffered a lot. The first was left without a homeland, the second without a loved one. But both remained hopeful. A sequel is promised. There is a lot of everything mixed together, it is absolutely impossible to follow the progress of the finely chopped narrative.
