...It's time to meet with friends and think together whether it is possible to construct it, this is the future that is coming towards us, full of uncertainty. How such a conversation might proceed - and what ideas it would revolve around - Sarah Doak tries to give us an idea of this in the following story. Discussions on the hot topic of “dual citizenship” can only make Sarah Doak smile: she has three of these citizenships . Born in 1968 to a Belgian mother and an American father, she grew up in France and lives her life under a truly cosmopolitan star. Needless to say, she speaks several languages and moves effortlessly from one to another. As time passed and she “dreamt of becoming a secret agent or a learned witch,” she eventually remembered that all her life she loved to read and write. She has lived in Brussels for ten years and divides her time between journalism, translation and her own writing projects. She hosts radio broadcasts and has published several short stories in magazines. Here is her second story, translated into another language (the first was translated into Italian). Sarah Doak dreams of one day living in a lighthouse, converted into a huge library. And she also dreams of a better world structure... (A. Eshbach)
