A film crew comes to the village where the pottery master lives to capture for a major foreign exhibition the process of the birth of his wonderful and surprisingly simple products of peasant life. But the master is far from young. And either the intervention of such guests, or his hands are no longer the same, he is unable to show the transformation of a piece of clay into a work of art. It turns out that talent must be noticed in time and given its due. And only thanks to the great patience of the director and the resourcefulness of the village joker - a friend of the master - he manages to create his next masterpiece.
