With an interval of several months, the author witnesses two tragic events: the death of a child, which plunged her parents into indescribable despair, and of a young woman, the mother of three small daughters, a loving wife. One of the relatives of the girl who died during the tsunami suggests to the author, knowing that he was a writer, write a book about this dramatic story. The proposal sounded like an order, and the author accepted it. This is how a story appeared about the friendship of a man and a woman who managed to overcome cancer, but became disabled. Both were judges in the small court of the city of Vienne (Isère department) and dealt with cases of over-debts. The book tells about life and death, incurable illness, poverty, justice and, most importantly, about love. Addressed to a wide readership.
